3/5/2023 0 Comments Mac controlplane mount□ Preparing Kubernetes v1.20.2 on Docker 20.10.3. □ Creating docker container (CPUs=4, Memory=8192MB). □ Downloading Kubernetes v1.20.2 preload. □ Starting control plane node minikube in cluster minikube Oh wait, next problem! minikube start -cpus=4 -memory=8g -addons=ingress I changed my Docker Desktop Preferences so it had the memory I needed:Īn Apply and Restart, and I'm back in the game! ❌ Exiting due to MK_USAGE: Docker Desktop has only 1990MB memory but you specified 8192MB ✨ Automatically selected the docker driver. minikube start -cpus=4 -memory=8g -addons=ingress Unfortunately for me, with my Mac, docker and virtualbox configs, I immediately hit issues. ![]() Thought I'd follow the default instructions in the first instance to see how it went. ![]() The default installation method is now via a k8s operator, rather than the older installer ways. ![]() It was very straightforward for me, on Mac Big Sur 11.2.1 The main AWX installation instructions cover this off to a pointer to the minikube docs, so I'm not going to cover them here. Right, first we need to get the environment setup and the backbone to this is now minikube, by default. Thought I'd give it a try and talk about some of the new funky features, as there are some great improvements to ease both the running and portability of automation runtimes. The upstream of Ansible Automation Platform, AWX has just landed with a new exciting release.
